Feurstagram FAQ
Feurstagram FAQ answers cover safety, Classic vs Clone, account risk, updates, and how this patch differs from WebView wrappers. Deeper guides live on the blog.
What is Feurstagram?
Feurstagram is an open-source Android patch for Instagram that removes distracting surfaces such as the home feed, Reels, Explore, ads, and telemetry while keeping DMs, stories, profiles, search, and notifications.
Is Feurstagram affiliated with Instagram or Meta?
No. Feurstagram is an unofficial community project and is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta. This website is also independent and is not Meta.
Does Feurstagram collect my password?
No. Feurstagram does not collect, store, proxy, or transmit Instagram usernames, passwords, or session tokens. Login still happens inside the Instagram app itself.
Is Feurstagram safe to install?
The project states Feurstagram does not handle your credentials, and the patches are open source. Prefabricated APKs still require trust in the release pipeline. For maximum trust, build from source. Only install APKs from the download buttons on this site’s download page, or a build you compiled yourself.
Why does Android warn me before installing the APK?
Feurstagram is distributed outside Google Play, so Android may show unknown-app warnings. That is expected for manual APK installs.
Classic APK or Clone APK?
The Classic APK replaces regular Instagram because it keeps Instagram’s original package ID. The Clone APK uses a different package ID so it can install beside official Instagram. Use Clone if you want both apps.
Can my Instagram account be banned?
Feurstagram modifies the Instagram Android app. That may violate Instagram’s terms of service. Account outcomes are not guaranteed. Use it at your own risk.
Which Android version does Feurstagram need?
Feurstagram 454.0.0.13.77 needs Android 9.0 or later for the current Instagram base builds this release targets.
Why not use a WebView wrapper?
Feurstagram patches the real Android Instagram app instead of wrapping the mobile website. That keeps the native app experience while removing specific surfaces.
Why not use an accessibility-service blocker?
Accessibility blockers usually react after the interface appears. Feurstagram aims to block or hide distracting parts more directly through patches and network-level blocks.
Does Feurstagram remove every distraction?
No. The goal is to remove the most addictive surfaces while keeping useful social features. Instagram updates can change or break patches until a new Feurstagram release lands.
How do I get update notices?
Feurstagram can check for newer releases on launch. You can also follow @feurstagram_off on Instagram for release stories, or return to this site’s download page when a new version is listed.
